And that the Indians were afraid to go in there on the rivers , on the Colorado , because they believed that the enemies of their race were turned into fish and would destroy or kill them if they go there . , He does not know that that is the belief of the Indians in that section of the country . . The earlier race of Indians that were supposed to have been driven into the river , , it is claimed , were the Aztecs .
