( 286-287 286-2,87 ) ) The boat with the ( motor inotor ) had a swinging propeller that tripped up with reference to ( meeting ineeting ) any ( obstruc obstruc- obstruc ) tions . There were a great ( many iiiany ) more sand bars in the Colorado than in the Green , meaning bars that come to or near the surface and that must be avoided in navigating the river . There are more crossing bars on the Colorado that may impede progress than on the Green River . The Colorado in general has the biggest flow of water .
