From about September ( 1st Ist ) until the first part of December 1926 he worked from a point about , , two or three miles below the Moab dock landing to a point approximately thirty miles downstream from there , which would make it a few miles ( be- be ) low the No . 2 [ oil well ] location . At that time he was in charge of the party doing the meander work . They had two camps on the river ; one was just on the outskirts of ( Moab Aloab ) another one was located , about ( twenty-eight twentyeight ) miles down the river at the oil well camp No . 2 .
