The ( flat- flat ) bottomed boat was being used by Mr . ( Hough's Houghs ) party above seven and ( one-half onehalf ) miles above Lees ( Perry Ferry ) . ( Mr Air ) . ( Joekel Joehel ) , a member of the Coast and Geodetic Survey , also had rowboats . The only settlers or ( ranchers Tanchers ) seen on the trip were the four cattlemen at John ( Hite's Hites ) ranch ( R .
