Show Witlihim onhis trip 359 from ( Moab JMoab ) down was Mr . ( -Archie Archie Archie ) D . Ryan , of the General Land Office in . Salt Lake City . He is an Irrigation Engineer with that office . With him also were two boatsmen , ( "Virgil Virgil Tirgil ) Baldwin in charge of the boat and his ( as- as ) ( sistant sistalit ) Cecil Thompson . He left Moab August 25th ) 1929 . . . He made the trip for the purpose of studying the ( characteristics -characteristics characteristics ) of the river , including the bed and any sand bars or other difficulties of navigation that might be present . ( ( B R ) . 1272 . ) He understood that this case involved the ( ques- ques ) tion of the title to certain parts of the Green , ( Colo- Colo ) rado , and San Juan Rivers ; that the matter of the ( title -title title ) depended upon whether or not these rivers ( were -were were ) navigable streams .
