( Ik 1790 . ) He saw the dredge that Stanton had brought in . , He believes it was located above Halls Crossing , but it was wrecked and in the river . It showed , no evidence of having been operated ( recentty recently ) . It would have been impossible to operate it , because . it was sunk and covered with water and ( mud rnud ) . He reached Lees Ferry October 27 [ 1909 ] , ( and ai-A aiA ) it had taken sixteen days to come down to that point from Leos Ferry . They had hoped to find supplies at Lees Ferry ; but were disappointed . ( R . . 1791 . ) They had arranged for supplies to be brought in to Lees Ferry with a man ( named nained ) Emmet , ( who -Nvho Nvho ) took the money but forgot the supplies and ( moved mo-ved moved ) away . They were , therefore , not resupplied until the party reached the Grand Canyon , where they got supplies at the El Trovar Hotel .
