Show is a summary of the stream 59 flow of the Green River , at Greenriver , Utah , and the Colorado River , at Cisco , Utah , prepared by W . G . Hoyt . ( R . 264 . ) He saw no boats , no signs of habitation Between the mouth of the San Rafael and the Cataracts . ( R . 268-269 . ) In his trip up the Colorado River , he did not see any homes , ranches or other signs of habitation , outside of shanties at oil wells . Took a week to make examination of river to that point ; after examination decided not to use the large boat which was brought overland from Moab to Greenriver .
