Show . 229 the boats were separated and the outboard ( motor inotor ) taken off the smaller boat . None of time between Sept . 11 to 16th was taken to ( make inake ) surveys ; that part had been surveyed . ( R . 826 . ) Between Greenriver , Utah , and the mouth of the Green River in a few ( eases cases ) would remark , his brother and himself , that formerly in 1911 the river had a channel at that point , and later in 1921 ( some some- some ) times that would be ( sticking stickilig ) far above the water and it would be a new channel . The river had a permanent bed for high water , and after the water had receded it would not be on that side of the river at all . By ( permanent peimianent ) bed he means it is a ( channel ebannel ) where nothing grows , ( where vhere ) there is no vegetation , nothing but sand , and every evidence that the high water would fill that bed from bank to bank and then , when it recedes picks out sometimes a channel in the very middle , with two islands , one on either side . Sometimes there would be an island with just a very shallow between , and a deeper ( channel ebannel ) on the other side . It had a chance up in Labyrinth Canyon to meander , to work from side to side ( con- con ) siderably , and there ( was vas ) every evidence of shifting ( channels cliai-mels cliaimels ) there . They always expected to find deep water if there were short loops or turns in the river close to the outside of the loop . They were nearly always correct in finding a ( channel ebannel ) at that point . And Desolation Canyon has more of that than any other ( place-goosenecks placegoosenecks ) they call them , where it is winding back and forward . They would pull |
