Testimony given before special master Charles Warren in a suit brought by the United States against the state of Utah over ownership of the bed of the Colorado River. Much of the testimony was given by river runners, scientists and engineers, petroleum geologists, and placer miners. The testimony constitutes an extensive oral history of the men and women who utilized the Colorado River Basin in Utah prior to 1929. |

( Doesn't Doesnt ) know whether the boat in exhibit was a company boat or a Midwest Oil Company boat . The Midwest Oil Company has operated boats on the river between Moab and its wells since it began operations . The Texas Oil Company had one boat operating on the river . Deft . Exhibit number 2 identified by him as ( plio- plio ) tograph of Moab Garage scow just before the bow was put on . Deft . Exhibit number 4 identified by him as ( Moab MoLab ) Garage boat . Deft . Exhibit number 3 ( finally filially ) identified as ( same sanic ) boat depicted in ( exhibit eyJiibit ) number 4 but he was not sure as to whether it was a photograph of the Utah Petroleum boat or the boat pictured in exhibit ( iium- iium ) ber 4 .
