Ces feuilles font vcineufes, d'un verd fonc6 ' & bordcei de quelques dents ccart6~s' extrcmement petites. De la bafe de cl~aque f~utlle na~c une vrille menue, fimple, & prefqu'aufh lon, guc que la feuille q.ui l'accomp~gne. Lcs }leurs 1ont affez grandes , d un rouge Vlf , monopctales, & a cinq divifions ouvertes en etoile. Les femelles font folitaires & foutenues par des p6doncules un peu courts ; les miles au contraire nai!fcnt quatre ou davantage fur un pedoncule commun :dlez long.
