Lucretio senatore, & Attio Pe- ligno prohiberi, qui id oppidum VII cohortium præsidio tenebant. Mittit eo M. Antonium cum legionis IIX cohortibus V. Sulmonenses, simul <N=5>atque nostra signa viderunt, portas aperuerunt; vniversique & oppida- ni, & milites, obviam gratulantes Antonio exierunt. Lucretius & Attius de muro se dejecerunt. Attius ad Antonium deductus petit, vt ad Cæ- sarem mitteretur. Antonius cum cohortibus, & Attio, eodem die, quo profectus erat, revertitur. Cæsar eas cohortes cum exercitu suo conjun- <N=10>xit, Attiumque incolumem dimisit. Cæsar tribus primis diebus castra magnis operibus munire, & ex finitimis municipiis frumentum compor- tare, reliquasque copias exspectare, instituit. Eo triduo legio IIX ad eum venit, cohortesque ex novis Galliæ delectibus XXII, equitesque a rege 3 Norico circiter CCC. Quorum adventu altera castra ad alteram <N=15>oppidi partem ponit. Iis castris Curionem præfecit: reliquis diebus op- pidum vallo castellisque circummœnire instituit. Cujus operis maxi- ma parte effecta, eodem fere tempore missi ad Pompeium revertuntur. <N=XIX.>4 Litteris perlectis, Domitius dissimulans, in concilio pronuntiat Pom- peium celeriter subsidio venturum; hortaturque eos, ne animo deficiant, <N=20>quæque vsui ad defendendum oppidum sint, parent.
