Ab his cognoscit, non longe ex loco oppidum Cassivellauni abesse, silvis palu- <N=15>dibusque munitum, quo satis magnus hominum pecorisque numerus con- venerit. 2 Oppidum autem Britanni vocant, quum silvas impeditas vallo atque fossa munierunt, quo, incursionis hostium vitandæ caussa, convenire consueverunt.
