Hic locus æquo fere spatio ab castris vtrisque aberat: eo, vt erat dictum, ad colloquium venerunt. Legionem Cæsar, quam equis devexerat, passibus <N=5> cc ab eo tumulo constituit: itemque equites Ariovisti pari intervallo con- stiterunt. Ariovistus, vt ex equis colloquerentur, & præter se, denos vt ad colloquium adducerent, postulavit.
