The Jubcordated-leaved Othonna, with a jimple, almofl .7taked jlalk. : (I I The root is large, tuberous, and yellowilh : the radical leave~ are numerous, large~· roundifl1, but fomewhat cordated and angulated, and have pedtdes a foot long: ~the ftalk is round, thick, hoary, and three feet high : the leaves on it are few; they are roundilh and finuated a little: the flowers are large and ·yellow ; they .fiand in a kind of fpike at the top of the ftalk. It is a native of Ru:ffia. Amman calls it, Jacobreafirqm cacalire folio. The common, hoary, fea Jacobre, has fome right to be of this g~nus. lt's calyx ls indeed compofed of feveral leaves, but it is not calyculate,d at the bafe, as in the Jacobrere.
