T HE pod is of an orbiculated figure, undivided, and compreifo-plane. This genus contains the Ionthlafpi of Tournefort and others. Cfypeola jiliculis unilocularibus monrfpermis. The Clypeola, with pods with Jingle fieds in them. <trlpptaten !1!9ttfrarn. The root is oblong, white, and fibrated : the fialks are numerous, rough, procumbent, and five or fix inches long: the leaves are numerous, very fmall, hoary, and white: the flowers are very finall and yellow: the pods form a kind of fpike half-way down the plant. The oblongleaved Clypeola. ALYSSUM. T HE two fhorter fiamina in the flower have a denticulation on their inner fide. !his genus comprehends the Alyifon, Aly~oides, and VeGcaria of Tournefort. The root is long, white, and woody : the fialks are numerous, [even or eight inches long, rough, and of a greyifh-green colour: the leaves are oblong, narrow, punCl:ated, and very rough to the touch : the flowers are moderately large and yellow.
