JAN 1 4 1980 It was converted into apart Daynes had this house built in 1904 by the Salt Lake Building Company, The architect, John Alfred Headlund, was "one of the most successful architects in Utah," according to Noble Warren in his Utah Since Statehood. Headlund was born in Sweden on May 30,1863. He worked on the railroad when he first came to the United States in 1880. He later moved to Colorodo Springs,.Colorado where he was employed by VanBrent and Howe. He came to Salt Lake in 1889 and then moved back to Colorado Springs. In 1891 he made his home in Salt Lake. Headlund was the architect for the Emmanuel Baptist Church and a number of residences in Salt Lake. |
