Show JAN Talmage organized the Deseret Museum in 1891. He was director of the museum until 1919. In 1911 Talmage was called to be an apostle in the Mormon Church. Talmage is well known throughout the Mormon Church for his books on Mormon doctrine, including "The Articles of Faith," and "The House of the Lord." Talmage died in 1933. Talmage lived in the house from 1912 to 1923. He moved in 1925, and converted this house into apartments. The Talmages continued to own the house until the 1940's and continued to use it as a rental property. |
