Show 3923 Edwards- C 1944 remembered whether the survey had been carried down to Lees Ferry on the first? MR. FARNSWORTH: I asked him some such question, but he wasn't on the first expedition. I was merely getting at where he knew of any survey commencing on the second expedition. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q It is your recollection, Mr. Edwards, as I under-stand it, that there was some surveying done on the second expedition that you went on for some distance above Lees Ferry? A Yes sir. Q Your wouldn't be able to state how far that was? A No, I wouldn't be able to state how much. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Do you remember Mr. Nims? A Yes sir; very, very well. Q Was he a keen observer of facts, would you say? A He seemed so. Q so far as he appeared? A Yes. Q And how did he impress you as a man? A Very well. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q You were acting as good in that party, were you not? A No. |
