Show 3911 Edwards- D 1932 BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q How much time did you spend in and about the San Juan river? A I think we only stayed there over night. Q Did you cross the San Juan river? A We did not. Q Did you observe the San Juan river as to the stage of the water A As I remember, there was very little water in it; it was in the winter time. Q What do you mean by " very little water"? A I suppose wasn't more than probably two or three feet wide, possibly a foot deep, something like that; very small stream. Q After you returned to Greenriver, Utah, when did you next make the acquaintance of the Colorado river or the Green river? A I haven't ever made any acquaintance with it since. Q That completes your experience with those rivers? A Yes sir. I have been down to the lower river, but not anything on the upper river; I have never been back to the upper river since. Q Have you ever done any prospecting around there in southern Utah? A Yes sir. Q Since that time? |
