Show 3881 Edwards- D 1902 A I don't think there was; but the mail was brought in there from Hanksville, I believe, by the travelers as they would come in; there were people coming in and out occasionally; I think they brought the mail in. I don't remember getting any mail there, but we did get mail at Lees Ferry; there was a post office at Lees Ferry. Q Did you also get some supplies at Lees Ferry? A Yes sir. Q And how were they brought in? A Brought in from Kanab or Johnson, Utah, by wagon. Q And delivered to you there at Lees Ferry? A At Lees Ferry, yes sir. ( Recess.) Q MR. Edwards, when was the next time that you saw Glen canyon, that country in and around Hite? A 1891. Q And for what purpose did you return there? A I was with a prospecting and mining company called the Denver, Colorado, canyon Mining and Improvement Company. Q How did you get into Glen canyon? A Came down the river from Greenriver.
