A I was only in Hanksville that one time, in passing through there on my way to Hite. Q What road or trail did you take from Hanksville to the river? A The trail that was customarily used; there was but one, as I recall it, that is, from there to the mouth of North wash. Q Did you ever hear of North wash referred to as Crescent creek? A Not that I recall, sir. Q Do you recall how long it took to take this trip from Greenriver, Utah, to Glen canyon? A We were one day going from Greenriver going to Hanksville, and one day from Hansville to the river, staying over night in Hanksville.
