Show 3897 Edwards- D 1918 Had a little skiff; I dragged the skiff over the ice until I got down there; I went down and examined the boat and figured what would have to be done to it, and then re-turned to Denver. We hauled the boat back to Greenriver by wagon, the small boat. I went back to Denver, got a friend of mine who was an old lake engineer, marine engineer, and got the material we thought would be necessary to repair the boat, and he and I and one other man went back over and repaired the boat and got her into the water and started down the river. Q Was the boat on the shore when you found it? A Tied up on shore, up above the water. Q Then did you get the boat into the river? A Yes sir Q The engine was all tuned up? A Got everything in good shape. Q You got up steam? A Got up steam, and bid them goodbye, and started down the river. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Started down the river from Wheeler's ranch?
