Q That was an appointed cache, was it? A No, that was a forced cache. We had to journey down the river. There was good water there. We left these supplies at that cache, knowing the topographers would pick them up easily; they would notice that spring and notice a cache, some sign of the food we left there. Q Where were those parties working at the time you left Lees Ferry? A Well, you mean -- Q Where was the Trimble party? A They started at Bluff, was coming down the San Juan river.
