A As circumstances might require, or rather, as their activities might require; they were spreads out possibly over ten or twenty miles. There was one party, I believe, that was working down pretty well towards Lees Ferry. Q And where was the source of supplies for that party located? A Now, that I don't know; I wasn't with them Q During the six weeks that you were there the Stanton boats would as required go to the men who were spread over this area, give them supplies -- if they were down stream, take supplies down and come back up empty? A No, I don't recall that any boat was taken down stream with supplies at that time. I think they probably supplies themselves from a trail that came in lower down, near Hole- in- the- Rock, or somewhere near there. Q You haven't any knowledge as to that?
