Show ****************************** ******************************************** ELECTED OFFICERS CONTINUING Co-President 2nd Vice President Director 1990 1990 1990 Sharon Walkington Lyla Fuller Colleen Carnahan Conununity Voter Service *************************************************************************** JULIE BRYANT was "born into the League" (her mother Rosetta Curtis is also a Salt Lake Leaguer). A member for 18 years, Julie has been tmit and transportation chair, on by-laws and nominating coomittees, and chaired a vocational education study. Currently, raising two children, reading and the outdoors keep her busy. JANE HOLT has been in League for 5 years and is a "graduate" of tmit 9. Two years ago as editor, she began the computerization of the Salt Lake VarER. Her other volunteer efforts have included participation in the Salt Lake City Open School program. Jane's interests include the outdoors, ecology and recycling. ANN ROKICH, during her 8 years in League, has worked on devel.opnent, grant applications, program, the budget conmittee and our West Valley City study-all while working as assistant to the vice president for Health Sciences at the University of Utah. Her favorite forms of relaxation are hiking, fishing, and reading. GENEVIEVE ATWCX)D has been a League member for 14 years. She earned her B.S. at Bryn Mawr and an M.S. in Geology from Wesleyan. Genevieve has worked for the Honduran government, the National Academy of Sciences, and Ford, Bacon & Davis. She served in the Utah House of Representatives, and since 1981 has been Director of the Utah Geological and Mineral Survey. She sits on several boards, including the Salt Lake City Public Utilities Advisory Board and the University Medical Center Board. She "loves being involved in the interface between science and public policy" and "going on a field trip every weekend--even if it's just to the Great Salt Lake Marina." SHERYL GILLILAN lost no time becoming active in League about 4 years ago when she returned to Salt Lake after finishing graduate studies in law and social policy at Bryn Mawr. She is currently social policy chair for both Salt Lake and Utah Leagues; she recently managed a poverty education grant from LWVUS which featured the "Jones are eating out again tonight" posters and billboards. Sheryl is a policy and planning analyst for the Mayor of Salt Lake City and relaxes with quilting, reading, travel, and outdoor sports. LAURA LANDIKUSIC joined League in September 1987. She earned her B.A. and M.A. degrees in Business &iucation from Arizona State and from Northern Colorado University. Currently, she is the Housing Planner for Salt Lake City in the Building and Housing Services Department. She also serves as administrative vice president of Los Gallos Toastmasters and as a deacon in her church. LWVSL 4/89 -9- |
