They looked at future functional needs (roads, drainage, etc.), aesthetic desires, residential, commercial and recreational development needs. With great effort and cooperation, they have designed a basic Draper Statement List called "Cultural Statements" or "Goals." They have a preliminary land use plan based on these statements and sound research. The Draper/Sandy Unit plans to attend the Draper Planning meeting on November 17 at 7:00 p.m. which will be held at the Draper City Hall, 2441 South 900 East. I to 5 on Sunday YOUR ATTENDANCE IS VERY IMPORTANT Draper City needs a plan to create "good growth." With a plan, there is a way to try and maintain a positive "quality of life." Planning saves time, effort and money. If you look before you leap, costly mistakes may be avoided, both economic and aesthetic. Since Draper City's incorporation almost ten years ago, several attempts have been made to develop a Master Plan. Little serious attention has been paid to any of those proposed plans. A Master Plan may be either a concept to consider or a firm planning guide adopted by ordinance. A Master Plan committee consisting of citizens, planning commissioners, city councilmen and planning staff has been working for nearly one year to create a Draper City Master Plan for the 1990's.
