We found it fairly numerous along a particular steep slope on the N. side of Niginya, but it flew very quickly, and owing to the steepness of the hill-side was very hard to take except when feeding. A large percentage of the specimens were much damaged, cbiefly in the hind wings, by the attacks of hawk-flies (Asilldce). I took many eggs and several larva}, but failed to rear any of them." 41.
