A Oh, I beg your pardon; I didn't understand it. You asked me how many places I had crossed BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q How many places have you crossed in boats? A At Bloomfield, and at the mouth of Comb wash in boats; that is the only times I have crossed in boats, -- and the mouth of Montezuma creek. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Whose boats were those at those places? A It was a ferry boat at Bloomfield. Q Bloomfield? A Yes; that is up in New Mexico. Q Above Farmington? A Yes, above Farmington. When we crossed at the mouth of Montezuma creek it was a boat belonging to a trader there, and the one we crossed in at the mouth of Comb wash was one we made ourselves; came thee one night with a lot of freight and couldn't cross the river, and brought lumber along in case we couldn't cross it, and built a boat that night and crossed next morning with the boat; loaded the goods and the wagon on the boat and crossed it, and then swum the horses.
