Q Do automobile travel it? A Yes, sometimes they have been traveling it. Q Well, now, west of Mexican Hat and on the north side of the San Juan are there any roads in there? A The nearest road in there is from Blanding to the Armstrong canyon, Edwin bridge on the White canyon. The next one north is about twenty- five miles north from Bluff to Blanding. Then from Blanding to the end of the road is forty- eight miles across the top of the Elk mountains. Q Where is the end of that road? A At Edwin National bridge. Q Where is that point, Edwin bridge, on the map? A It is about three miles up where the Armstrong can-yon -- on the White canyon -- it is approximately on the White canyon, laying a little southwest from the Elk mountains. Q From where?
