Show 3667 Hyde- D 1689 A At points where I saw it, you mean? BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Yes. A It varies in width, of course; some places would be narrower than others. At Bluff -- BY THE SPE4CIAL MASTER: Q Without going into too great detail, can't you tell us what is the normal width and depth at these points, at the dry seasons? A I would say one hundred and twenty- five to one hundred and fifty feet in width, and in some places it is much narrower than that. Q What would be the normal depth in the dry seasons at these places? A In a dry season it would be from a few inches deep to possibly knee- deep. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q At the various points have you crossed the river ether on horseback or otherwise, so that you know the depth of it during these dry seasons? A Yes sir. Q How did you cross? A I crossed horseback, mostly, and have crossed it afoot, stepped from one cobble to another, crossed it on foot that way without getting in the water. |
