Q That was a recognized crossing, was it? A That was a recognized crossing in the ' 80' s, early ' 80' s. Q Then there was a crossing below that named the Danby crossing? A No, Hite is the Dandy crossing. Q And was there a regular ferry there, a boat maintained to take people across, or did they simply ford the river there? A They had a boat to take people across. The old piers stand there now, on the one side. Q Then below there, was the next crossing at Red Canyon, where the Turner ranch was? A The crossing where you get across with light boats. Q Was that the next one down the river? |
