He was the first one to establish a fruit farm here. He came over that trail in 1830. The trail was traveled after that annually in each direction by a caravan from Los Angeles to Santa Fe and a caravan from Santa Fe to Los Angeles, interchanging the goods at the different localities. Q Who else used that trail besides Wolfskill? A Just those Spaniards at that time, for a number of years. Q That was used between Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Monterey? A Yes.
