This bird is almost identical in every particular with Gray's type, which is also an immature female. The general colour is entirely green, except parts of the belly, flanks, and under tail-coverts, which are yellow, and the tail and primaries, which resemble those of the adult. 50. PTILOPUS LEWISI. A specimen of this little-known species was obtained and agrees well with Gray's type in the Natural-History Museum. Mr. Woodford says that this is the common species of the island. 54.
