BLACKMAR: Q In your navigation of the upper stretches of the Green river did you ever use maps up there? A I never personally used them at all except -- yes, I must amend that -- the Princeton fellows, when I was with them, had maps; we used them to locate where we were, and I re-membered from the form trip most of the rapids and didn't pay much attention, but they were at least a great consola-tion to the other fellows, whether they helped or not.
