Q Did you make a second trip down the Green river? A Yes sir, I did. Q When was that trip? A 1921 the start was made, Edison Electric Company, Geological Survey, and Geographic survey, September 11, 1921. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Started from where? A Greenriver, Utah. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q How large a party was that, and what was the purpose of the expedition, your capacity, and who was on the party? A The government -- the Geological Survey and the Edison Electric people combined in making a survey, an accurate survey of the bed of the river, to locate possible dam sites, and get the exact drop of the river, the elevations for a short distance up the banks, not to the top of the canyons. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q What is that? A They didn't make a survey, a topographic survey to the top of the canyons, but they did for a few hundred feet above the river. 2782 |
