Show 906 AFTER RECESS. ( The hearing was resumed at 2: 15 o'clock P. M.) THE SPECIAL MASTER: All ready, gentlemen? MR. BLACKMAR: Yes, your Honor, we are ready. ( Direct Examination of the witness Blake resumed by Mr. Blackmar, as follows:) Q Mr. Blake, over those stretches of the Green river north of Greenriver, Utah, is it possible to take a boat upstream? A Not for any great distance, except through Brown's Park it is possible in certain stages of water. Q Brown's Park is over in Colorado. A Oh, yes; that is right. Is the Upper Brown's Park at the end of Red canyon in Colorado? There would be a short stretch there -- there would be a stretch above Red canyon to the state line which it would be possible, with a reasonable head of water to take power boats upstream. Q Any place else you could take boats upstream? MR. FARNSWORTH: In that vicinity. MR. BLACKMAR: Yes. A Along above Desolation to Ouray and Jensen it seems to me it would be possible with water enough. Q With what? A With a good head of water -- good flow of water. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q Flow of water rather than head, you mean? 2876 |
