A I had seen them on this same trip, and had seen Mr. Loper manipulate the boats in those stretches of water where there were sand waves. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q You say heavily loaded. How much of a load did you have, aside from the men? A I don't know. Q Approximately. A I should say not over six hundred pounds to the boat, on account of the small size of the boats. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q When next on that trip did you have anything to do with the operation of the boats? A I haven't the occasions fixed in mind as to rotation.
