Show Kolb- D 852 BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q How much of the section south of the Utah line are you now talking about? Are you familiar with where the Utah line crosses the river? A I think it is close to the Crossing of the Fathers. THE SPECIAL MASTER: We won't talk of anything south of the Utah line. A The water is deeper and quieter as you get near Lee's Ferry; there are not as many sandbars in that section as there are above. BY THE SPECIAL MASTER: Q The sandbars, therefore, are more between the mouth of the San Juan and the Utah line than they are between that Utah line and Lee's Ferry? A I think they are; I am safe in saying they are. THE SPECIAL MASTER: I ask that as a question, not as a statement. BY MR. BLACKMAR: Q Now, in that section between the mouth of the San Juan and the Utah- Arizona line, there is some rapid water in there, is there not? A There is a rapid directly below Bridge canyon, which I mentioned. BY MR. FARNSWORTH: Q Where is that? 2822 |
