Came safely to Butte by 5 a.m. on the 6th. Wait here 3 hours. Wrote a card to Maria. At 8 a.m. boarded the Great Northern, and arrived at Great Falls at 3 p.m. Got in company with Bp. Jos. Smith Brown of Lethbridge Stake. As we have to stay here until Friday morni~g at 7:30 we got a room for 751 each. Wrote btters and looked around town is on the he9.d waters of Missouri. July 7: After a good night rest and good breakfast we boarded the car at 7 :30 on the Great Northern and arrived at Lethbridge at 4 p.m. and met son-in-law Bp. Hyrum Smith in his office. No. 205 Lethbridge who was pleased to see me. At 5:30 he took me to his home 1509, 6th Ave. South where they met daughter June and four youngest children. All well and all enjoyed a very pleas9.nt evening in telling of family affairs. rain. This is a leve 1 open country and everything looks green after a good July 8: After a good breakfast Bp. Smith went to his chiro~ract office and I visited with daughter June. Rainy wet weather. We visited Bro. C. Karren and wife who is sick for 2 years with neuritis and they seem so full of faith on the Gospel and were very glad to see us. July 9: Sunday. At 2 p.m. attended Mormon Church. The hone missionary was Elder Peterson & Johnson & J. rlushman who spoke of temple work which the people enjoyed. At 7 :30 attended Mutual which vras splendid on Church Or~nization. Bp. Hyrum went to a part o f his ward away off to give them a president. July 10: Wrote letters and visited the Karrens and blessed her in her afflictions. They seemed full offaith. July 11: Walked around town and read soma. At 3 p.m. dau-g hter June accompanied ma to Ca.rdston 60 miles. Stop with Niece Mary Hadfield who was glad to see us. Went to Farmers Institute. July 12: 1922: ~rose early and went to see the temple. It is much grander ths.n he expected. At 3 p.m.niece 1la ry Hadfield, June and I went through the temole with a company of outsiders. This temple is different from any of the other temples in its de~ign and make. S~id to be just like Solomons. Each room is fi~ished in different kinds of be1utiful wood, all very beautiful, not painted or over. |
