Got him some medicine. R'lined most all day. ·i'rrote letters. Oct. 1s: Wrote my j ournal & some letters. Writing letters and compiling ; my journals. Oct. 20: 1918: Sunday. Reading and visited H. Webb who :has had 20 tons of my & barn b urn down & has 2 sick children. Tried to cheer them up. Oct. 23: Bp. Goodvrin g:3.ve me 2 n ice p ine trees and ,Ye sat them out in front of our house (at) 166 West 3 No rth, Lehi, Ctah. Thursday attended the funeral of (at the cenetery) Charles Goats, his 2 little daughters . at 4:30 p.m. attended the funeral of Arthur Saby's wife, she died in Washington state. ~randson, ?reston ?almer came after (his) being 2 week sick with flu. Oct. 25: Friday. and Saturday 26. I helped ~rather Martin top beets. Grand son Curtis Bush.r;'lan came & stayed with his cousin ?reston Palmer. Oct. 27: Sunday. After breakfast took the boys up to the cemeteriJ and around to Christian & James Petersons , the men were not at nome. Everythin g is so quiet and lonesome. In the evening the boys ·went to Saratoga farm to top beets. Monday morning we got a phone for Curt is Bushman & Preston Palmer to come to Provo, so they went over in the evening. Oct. 28: Monday. Attended the funeral of Goats cl.: 2 children who died in Ogden, also the funeral of Arthur Sabyis wife, was buried. Bro. Albert opened the meeting and I dedicated the grave. · Tuesd'l.y & Wednesday gathering my early history. Oct. 31: Thursday. Commenced to copy my history in the new record. Copied 6 pages. Friday copying in the record & attended Bartlet Turners funeral. Our daughter 1'.!a.ria came to see us. Nov. 3: Sunday. After visiting sick John C. Smith came from Salt lake where hs is attending training school. Afternoon Brother Albert took us over to his dry farm in Cedar Valley. Very windy. John c. seems quite a sincere young may of 19 years. He returned to Salt lake in the evening well pleased with his visit. Nov. 4: Ct:IInpiling and r e cording my diaries into the new book all this week. Paid $25 tithing and $1 for ward roaintenan ce. Stormy. The Dr. says the flu is abateing. |
