Show -4- John Bushman diary 1911: April--MB..Y-June Aoril 7, 1911: 'Wife & I came to Snowf hke to attend nriesthood meeting. R<tined on the way. Found a.11 well. Aoril 8: 10 a.m. attended priesthood meeting. J .H.,'!fillis re<td 4th Nephi giving the cause of The Falling Away af'ter the 200 years o f oeace & ?rosperity. M9.y 28: Wife and I start for Utah to attend the Mutual Conference and _the home com:.ng at Lehi. Preston, Daphne Decker and June & her two children are on the train. Also Theodore Turley & Salina Smithson are going to get wed. We got to the Needles at 7 p.m. and to Dagett at 1:30 a.m. monday morning. May 29: We came across the great desert and go to Milford at 8 p.m. May 30: We arrived in Sa. lt Lake City at 6 :30. We visited and spent night with Grace Lundquist. May 31: Wife and I went to Wanda.mere Park and to Salt Aire. Preston and Daphne Decker were married, also Theo Turley & Salina Smithson were married. We got room up town for the night near Prestons room. He and wife ea.me in our room and asked me to bless them which I did. They both seemed to be happy. June home came meet 1, 1911: We came to Draper where Wm. C. A.llen met us and took us to his where. sisSera~~terson and daughte: Te~,_ Brother and Sister Y:a lbeck all and Sister;'Butnsm and we had a nice v1s1t. All seemed to pleased to us. Yfe visited Earl Allen and family and saw their fine horse. June 2 :Af'ter breakfast we went to Jackson Allen & saw his prize percheon horse. We visited Sarah Burhams and called onA.W. Allen & heard some singing. 12 noon we start for the city and looked around town. At 8 p.m. we attended the Mutual social which was very nice. Pres. Smith and Bro. Grant were there. Visited the gymnasium and seen the swimming contest. June 3: After breakfast we went to Wandemere Park to witness the Mutual mee.t. But they had had their ball game q nd there was not much doing. We ea.me back and ha.d dinner at the old bakery. At 5 p.m. we boarded the train and came to l.ehi~ Fo ,md a 11 we 11, we step with 1'i artin. June 4: Sunday. At 9 I went with Bros. Martin & Albert to American Fork to 9.ttend the stake High Priests meeting. There was a good turn out, subject was stake government, after which Pres. A.R.Anderson ask me to speak which I did with freedom. At 1 p.m. we all went to testim ony meeting and heard many old friends speak. Visited around in the evening. June 5: We got Eb1ore Rhodes horse and buggy & rode around town forenoon c~lling on friends & relatives. At 2 p.m. we attended services at taberr.3. ~le. Orchestra music by Smuin b!l.nd. ?r<1yer R.
