Show -3John Bushman diary 1898 February Feb, 11, 1898: (Continued) Our daughters Adele 16 years and our ·sons Jesse s. Jolm Lehi, Alonzo E. and our youngest son Jacob Virr- il 9 years old. Our son Preston A, and Daughter June A. Are at Logan, Utah attending school. At 4 p.m. we had a good su ;mer and at 7 p.m. all met in our parlor. The f!'l!.nd (children) recited many nice little pieces appropriate to the occasion. And the children san r; several songs. Homer gave a sketch of our Bushman ancestry, illafla gave a sketch of her mother & their ancestry, and Lois gave 1 sketch of her aunt hlary Peterson Bushman life. Thus we spent the evening until near 12 m when we adjourned to meet the next evening. Feb, 12: We all met at 7:30, the little children recited some when the narratives rere continued. Homer gave a sketch of his fath~r, and all spoke in turn expressing their pleasure at the reunion. I spoke to the family for some time in a way to encourage all to do right and Homer nronounced the benediction just before 12 m. It was agreed that the llthofFeb. should be the day for our family reunions. Feb, 13: Sunday. Attended S. School. 2 p.m. attended meeting, the speakers •ere S.D, & 'Nalter Smith, J.P.Richards, Wesley Palmer and H.M.Tanner Feb, 14: Surveying ditch. Feb , 15: Workine; on the ditch. Feb, 16: Gettin~ rea.dy for our Ward Conference to be held on the morrow. Pros. Sl!lith ce.me to attend our conference. Feb , 17: Pres, Sr1ith & I went to the station at 6 a,m. to meet the Apostles. They did not como. 10 a.m. our conference convened. I reported the ward. Pres, Smith & Hatch occupied the forenoon, afternoon l1ro . Richards & J. Reidhead S!Joke, when Apostles John H. Smith & John. vr. Taylor ea.me in to the 111eetinr; & spoke a little. 7: p,m. had a meeting, the time was occupied by the apostles on the pror:ress of the work throu ?;hout the world. After meeting I gave Brot her Garvin a recommend to have his wife sea.led to him and he was ordained an Elder, by Pres. J .N .Smith, after which Apostle John H. Smith sea led sister Garvin to her husbe,nd, for time & eternity. The apostles stayed all night with us . Feb , 18: l':es.rly everyone in our ward came with the a"9ostles to Woodruff. J Tiylor rode with me. We arrived at 3 p.rn. At 7 p.m. we held meeting . The a?ostles occupied the time. I stop with P.J .Christofferson. .w. Feb, 19:We came to Snowflake, had no meeting, I took dinner with the a:>ostles at Ja.net Smith's. Feb , 20: Our Quarterly Conference convened at 10 :30 a .m. ~:,res. J .N .Smith 2 p.m. several of the bishops reported their wards a.nd Apostle J ,VI.TRylor spoke. 7 p.m. attended the priesthood meeting . and apostle J.H.Smith spoke. Feb , 21: 10 a..m . severn.l b ishops reported. 2 p.m . Dr. V'lilfords child had died and the funeral services were held. Bros. Richards, J . N.Smith, cT .H.
