This was the best and most co:norehensiva prayer we ever heard, and flowed from the lips of the Pres. lL<:e music, without any repetitions. After which ?res. J .F .Smith spoke, said he had not words to exoress his gratitude to Rro. Wells for the manner in which he had ni.anaged & erected the splendid monur:i.ent. Said it ,•ras what he desired to do but 1.¥as too poor to do it, & he could not ask for help. He sooke very tenderly of his father & the Prophet & their families; thanked the Lord for his associates & their faithfulness. The benediction by Seymour B. June 28: We went through the temple forenoon an:: ea.me home in the evening. June 30: Sunday. Attended meeting a. :. 2 p.m. and at 7 p.m. Durir.g the week I re painted 3ro. Marlins house that his son James had. On the 4th July attended services at the tabernacle at 10 a.m •• It was S?lendid program. Afternoon we went with Bro. 1.la.rtin & wife to visit Silas Smith & daughter Lois at Bennions ?lace 7fihilas north. July 7: 1918: Sunday. 9 a.m. attended Prayer c. and opened first prayer. 1:30 went to American Fork to a H.P. meeting. 2 p.m. attended fast meeting, many spoke. 4 p.m. attended Bishop Earls funeral, was well attended. E. Southwick, A.J.Evans & a relative from Ogden were the speakers. July 8: Painting for Martin, working around home all week. July 14: Sunday. a.m. attended S. School. at American Fork and evening meeting. 2:30 p.m. attended Union meeting July 15: Vforking in the garden and helped Brother Albert shock barley. Rained Friday evening. July 20: Went to Salt Lake to see O.A. Amondsen about ma. k ing a picture of our family. Maria Came. July 21: Sunday. 9 a.m. attended prayer circle & offered prayer. 2 p.m. attended sacrament meeting. Pratt & 1f.'albeck home missionaries, spoke well. 8 p.m. attended meeting, a Bp. from Salt lake spoke well on faith. July 22: 1ffe came to :Manti, Maria came with us. We stop with Sister HcAllister. Met Bro. Carpenter, he says we will finish the work for the Fortescue book this week. 1.. ' |
