Writing in the record all the time I can. · Florence & Ifa rt in D. ·w ent to Provo on the 3rd to rent rooms to attend B.Y.U. We received letter from Arizona., all are wall. Jan. 5: Hent to Sa lt lake and stop with Maria. We nt to the library and found had got about 400 Firtescue names in Enghnd and got some that Ed:na Gra.ffs from Switzerland , and wednesday, January 8th went through the tem?le for Barthold der Grava. Jan. 9: Went through for 'Nm. Tanbert? Stamps Wifes uncle. In the evening visited wit r. Henry UcCune ? & wife. Jan. 10: Went through for Mitchel Smith, W 2nd cousin. Worked a little at the veil all week and came home in the evening. Very cold all week. In the evening Leath Whip!)le came to stay with us on account of the flu. Jan. 12: Sunday. Writing in journal, also Monday attended Jacob Wanless daughters funeral & Made the opening orayer. There was a good turnout. very cold. Jan. 14: Attended the funera 1 o f Mary Ellen L. Thomas and spoke. Jan. 15: Attended the funeral of Zeltha Zinmerman, daughter of George Zimmerman and offered the opening prayer. Jan. 17: Attended the funeral of Vervine Evans daug.~ter of Pres. A.J. & Ernaline Zimr.J.erman. The speakers were ?res. Chipman and Pres. Clark & Pres. Murdock. Jan. 18: Bro. A~L. Rogers & wife and Sp. L.M.Savage, all of Arizona called upon us. We had a nice visit. Rogers is going to Atizona & Savage has come to stay in Utah. A.L.Rogers and wife go to Provo. Jan. 19: Sunday. Attended the funeral of John Jacobs who was past 93 years old. The services were held on his lawn. The speakers were Bp. A. Field, to the cemetery. Ed7rard Southwick, A.J .Evans & Geo. Austin. I Fox Jan. 20: Visited around with Bp. L.M.Savage and writing in his record all week. Warmer and pleasant. Had severa. l ta. lks with Bp. Savage. He expects to stay in Utah & do temp le work. Correspondi ng with Joseph M. Orr in Pa. He is 2nd cousin and is very frae? Bro. liartin helps to g9.ther names for temple work. Jan. 26: Fasted and pnyed for Heber J. Webb, son of Heber c. Webb who has the flu & is very bad. Wife prayed in turn. Writing his record and wrote letters. The weather has moderated, snow nearly all gone. Have many good conversa.t ions with brothers and friends. We are much interested in the peace conference in Paris. We got some genealogy from cousin Joseph ll. Orr in Pa. Feb. 2, 1919: Sunday. Fasted today a.gain for Bro. Heber J. Webb who is very little better. 3rd Heber is improving, 4th still better, fever gone. |
