The speakers were: Ch ristian Peterson, said many good things o f the integrity of deceased, followed by a duet, "Someti.ue, Somewhere~ Remarks by P. Peterson, also Bp. Hudson. Choir s ang , 11 Farewell a ll Earthly Honors" &c. There were 7 well loaded bug~ies followed remains to the cemetery after the casket. The grave was dedicated. All felt satisfied. We 4 looked around the town of 1,500 which has some very good public bui ldings which s hows the union of the people. 1fle q_ll stayed for su;:, rer with Niece Sarah Fowles who is just as clever as ever and after a good visit with all the relatives here, they stayed with Archie Anderson. March 28: After a good breakfast at Andersons we visited all the relatives in their homes and they ga.ve each of the uncles a cane of their fathers. Bade all affectionate farewell & came home to Lehi at 2:50. Read and wrote aftern c on. Lois came at 4:30 having been in the temole every day. March 29: Made garden and wrote in record. :\!larch 30: Sunday. At 2 p.m. attended sacrament meeting. Bros. Allred Yates & Brother Holbrook&: wife, missionaries from New Zealand ware the speakers. 7 :30 attended Primary Meeting. Monday 31st worked on the lawn and Bp. Goodwin gg.ve us another pine tree to set out in front of our house. April 1, 1919: Got tha tree and set it out. April 2. We came to the Salt Lake & went through (for) Anthony Fortescue. April 3: Went through the temple for Percival Tarsse Fortescue. Wire and I visited Uiece Lois Amundson & husband in the evening and had a good time. Aoril 4: Went through the temple for Henry Fortescue and visited Seymour B. Young about Fanny Bous pension. He said it would coma. Came home in the evening. We stayed 2 nights with daughter Maria and gave her a check $25. April 5: Worked in the garden and wrote in record. April 6: 1919. Sunday. 8 a.m. attended Pr~yer Circle. 11 a.m. grandchildren Fred, Florence & Degen Bushman came and had dinner with us, after which Florence asked me to give her a blessing which I did. 2 p.m. attended fast meeting and spoke with many others. |
