Show -2- John 3ushman diacies 1919 February Feb. 5: 1919: Brother Martin Bushma.ns 78 birthday. His family got up a good di::.ner. In the evening we came to Salt lake & stayed with Maria. 6th -we went through the temple, I went for F.F.Foscue and I worked at the veil. _ Recei-v-ed notice 3lackhawk VTar pension was gr?...nted. 7th went through the temple for Edmund Nathaniel William Fortescue & worked at the veil. Administered to Marie Smith, our granddaughter, came home. Rained all day. Feb. 8: 1l1 orking at record, also on Sunday the 9th and Monday 10th. Feb. 11: 54 years today they were married in Salt Iake. In the evening they had his brothers Martin and Albert & their wives, also nephew Elmore Rh.odes & wife and all had a social time and served lig.ht refreshmants and talked of the past. Feb. 12: They went throug..h the temple for Thomas William Sturgen. Stayed at Re lief Society home. Feb. 13: Went through for Augustus Foscue and visited 0.A. Amundson. Feb. 14: Went through for cousin Francis Lyon Foscue and came home. 2 o.m. Circle. At 11 a.m. attended Parents Class. Feb. 16: At 9 a.m. Pn.yer • J , attended sacnment meeting. The Bishop welcomed the people after 42 months without meetings. There was a good turn-out. ' Miss Odessa Allred returned miss iona:r; reoorted her la.bars and Pres. A. J. Evans spoke on British day. Worked on record till Wednesday 19th, 1919. Came to Salt lake temple, went through for Wm. Rogers. Feb. 20: Went through the temp le for v'im. Rogers and had not ice put in the 1 D. ~fews of the Bushman temple work, also for the John &: Maria Foscue Smith family here, in Alabama. & Texas. Any one working for any of those families to correspond with John Bushman of Lehi. Also -v-isited Rollin R. Tanner at 437 - 7th Ave., Salt lake. He is a brother of H.M.Tanner of St. Joseph, Arizona. Bro. and Sister Tanner were very sociable and they were urged to do temple work &: seemed willing to make a start. On the way down town I met Pres. H .J .Grant at a grocery store &: had a good t1lk. He was feeling splendid and seemed pleased to see me. We were sea led for Brice M. Burgess & Ann Smith, also Lorenzo Van Cleve & Margaret Smith and Wm. T. Stamps &: Nancy Smith, a 11 wives, Smith aunts• Feb. 21: I want through for cousin Frederick Degen&: Lois went for another M. 3. Sweeney, worked at the veil and came home, when we received our Blaok Hawk War pension, $420.00 at $20 per month from 1~rch 4th, 1917 to Deoember 4, 1918 and are to have $20 per month paid quarterly. The certificate no. is nine--21. Feb. 23: Sunday. Most a 11 day reading the Foscue history to be able to answer a new correspondent in Plymouth England, Earl Fortescue. 2 p.m. attended sacrament meeting. There was a returned missionary from Sandwich IIsland spoke. |
