Thatcher, The vernacular style of this rock home is its outstanding feature. It is one and one-half story with three gables in the front facade. Since the original construction, the home has added a brick extension to the back, making it a T-form. It is one of the oldest and best preserved homes in the valley. The stone is found in a local canyon and since it was built within just a few years of the original settlement of the valley, it portrays the abilities of the early settlers and indicated their intentions of staying in the valley.
