Brigham Guy Thatcher, the original owner, was a grandson of Brigham Young and was prominent in the building of Logan and Cache County. Years later he became the president of that mission. He was also a first counselor and bishop for the Logan 1st Ward. He helped to organize Thatcher Music Co., Thatcher Milling and Elevator Co., and The Consolidated Theatre Co. He was Vice President of Thatcher Milling & Elevator Co., Director of Thatcher Brothers Bank, Manager of Consolidated Theatre Co., and President of Logan Chamber of Commerce for three terms. |
