(See site form #270.)" In 1892 John R. Edwards built this three-story brick structure. It was the second of his commercial buildings on Main Street. The local newspaper in December 1892 stated that u the "building is one of the finest in the city, " being made of, "pressed brick and well arranged. " Who leased the first two floors first is unknown, but the third floor was used by the Ancient Order of United Workers, a fraternal organization of laborers. In 1904 the main floor was leased by the men's clothing and shoe store of Dunbar, Robinson Co. Today Leven's Men's Store operates in the structure. |
