The north facade has been altered by the addition of new brick, however the east facade exhibits the original brick work. In 1920 this building was an auto service center and remained that for many years. One even earlier use was as a livery stable. In 1930 the Gamble Stores occupied the building and sold hardware, auto supplies, and electrical appliances such as radios washing machines, refrigerators, and electric ironers. Western Auto Supply moved into the building in approximately 1936. Today it houses Bernina Fabric Center. |
